How you can start learning PPC for free – Part 1: Facebook Ads
This summer, I had to work with interns for the first time, and one of the field they wanted to get more experience in was PPC.
Along with setting up Zoom meetings where I was sharing my screen and showing them how I was setting up campaigns, I curated a list of quality, free resources for them to read. They told me it really helped them, so I’m sharing it here:
# Facebook Ads Basics
* **The Facebook FAQ by Jon Loomer** – It lists 80% of the questions someone running Facebook Ads might have, and offers an answer for each one of those questions. Super useful when you have a question about a specific FB Ads problem.
* **Watch Me Build a Facebook Ads Account With a $3000/Month Budget** (E-COMMERCE FACEBOOK ADS FUNNEL) by Dara Denney – One of the best way to learn FB Ads in my opinion is just to watch how other FB Ads managers structure their account, make their creatives, etc, and that’s exactly what Dara Denney does in this Youtube video.
* **Facebook Certified Media Buying Professional** – If you have 2-3 hours to spare, you can take 2 hours to go through the Facebook Ads Media Buying Professional course. It will teach you the basics of the platform, and you can also get a free certification after you complete it. ⚠️ I wouldn’t solely rely on Facebook materials for information, as they tend to include some « propaganda » in their materials.# Make good ads (creatives + text):
* **How To Create Mobile-First Videos for Facebook Ads: Facebook Ad Design 101 by Savannah Sanchez** : More now than ever, creatives will make or break your campaign. Savannah Sanchez is an ad creative master, and in this video, she explains her top tips and tricks to creating thumbstopping creatives on Facebook.

* **Which Audiences Should I Target on Facebook Ads? By Dara Denney** – If you have never used Facebook Ads before, and you have no idea of which audiences you should try out, this video offers a pretty comprehensive overview of all the audiences you can test when you start out with a new account.
The resources above should be enough for a first start, but if you’re bored/want more, here are some other ones:

* **Facebook Ads Post iOS 14.5 Reporting & Audience Targeting Updates [SEPTEMBER 2021] by Savannah Sanchez** : If you’re new to Facebook Ads, then you should know how the iOS 14.5 update has impacted reporting & audience targeting, which is exactly the topic of the video!
* **How to Measure, Build & Inspire Creative Facebook Ads: Your Complete Ecommerce Toolkit with 90 Examples + 30 Types by CommonThreadCollective** : This guide by Common Thread Collective is a goldmine to give you ideas of creatives that work, and how to measure their performance. * **How to Choose the Right Facebook Ad Objective for Your Goals by Search Engine Journal:** When you’re starting out with Facebook Ads, knowing which one of the 13 campaign objective to choose from can be difficult: this guide will help you determine which objective is the best fit for you.# Communities where you can ask your questions:
