  • How to speed up indexing of 500,000 new pages with a current status of ‘Discovered – Not Indexed’

We added 800,000+ unique product pages in mid-December and were able to get them all found by Google with our sitemaps. At this point, we have 27,000 pages indexed, and over 700,000 ‘discovered – not indexed’, so at this rate, only 1,000 pages are being indexed per day.

What can we do to speed up the rate at which Google is indexing our site?

    We have the basics covered:
    – following best practices for on-page SEO (we have room for improvement with site speed, but it’s not awful)
    – We have okay internal linking, bread crumbs, and schema
    – The pages offer unique value – we’re a coupon website that is able to get lower prices with our promo codes.

Our pages are being indexed it’s just happening too slowly for our liking. What can we do?

    Many thanks!
