Often in the SERP Google has an “image pack”. Does anyone know any tips for improving the chances of getting into the image pack?

I have a page that ranks well in the SERP but doesn’t appear in the image pack even though it has loads of images. I already have descriptive alt text and image filenames. I’m wondering if the problem is that my images are too low resolution (400px), because I noticed that lots of the images in the image pack are high resolution. At the same time I’m reluctant to add higher-resolution images to my page because it will make it load slower.

User intent – image quality – lp quality – does image/lp answer intent?… If yes, you’ll get on image pack.
