How do you direct Instagram followers to your website? [e-commerce]
Our Instagram following has grown quite strongly over the past year, but we are still not seeing nearly as many conversions as we do on Facebook. I contribute this partially to the fact that we can put links directly in our Facebook captions, but not in Instagram captions.
We have a link in our bio, and also have IG Shopping set up, but neither of these see many clicks.
How do I convert IG followers?

Have a strong CTA in each caption that details exactly what you want your followers to do.

Don’t try to sell with every post. It could be way more successful to just provide value (can be related to what you’re selling, related advice, beautiful photos, you name it) without telling them to visit your shop and buy your products, and then have one post with a clear call to action mixed in from time to time.
People are annoyed with all the ads on Instagram, posts that try to sell something are being perceived as ads, even if they’re from an account they follow. Your followers will just scroll past if you try to sell with every post.
