How Do I Stop Account-Level Ad Extensions From Applying To A Campaign?

Posted by seohelper on July 6, 2021 at 7:09 am

I’ve inherited a Google Ads account with a number of Account-level ad extensions. I’ve created a new campaign and don’t want these Account-level extensions applying to it. I prefer to create my extensions at the Campaign-level to have more granular control.

How do I go about stopping these Account-level extensions from applying to my new ad campaign?

Campaign level extensions overwrite account level ones, so you’re all good! Even if you have 4 account level sitelinks say, and only 1 at campaign level, only the 1 campaign level one would be able to show. Likewise ad group level overwrites campaign level.

Just create 4-5 campaign-level extensions which should take priority over the account-level ones.
