    Help w/ Call Tracking!

Posted by seohelper on June 18, 2020 at 10:51 pm

I need to configure a tag to track phone calls and email form submissions on a site. Does anyone have an idea of what kind of tag I need to implement to make this happen?

I would suggest that you use Call Tracking Metrics to accomplish this.

Callfire was always ok for that (generate different number and track it like that).

Form submissions depend on the type of site. Many free solutions for form submission tracking if the site uses WordPress or similar, but you’ll need to setup and spend time studying tracking and in what piece of software you’d like to track it.

What kind of form we would need to see the html to see the easiest way. Start with the form listener on gtm first and if that doesn’t work come back here with the html or just link us to the site

Calls would depend on how deep you want to go if you just want to track when someone clicks to call you can do that in gtm if you want to track the actual call with more data you need a program like call metrics or callrail

I’m on the support team at [WhatConverts](https://www.whatconverts.com) and this is exactly what we do. We track calls, forms, chats and transactions in a single dashboard and capture the marketing data that is associated with those leads. We can also pass the data back into Google Ads, Analytics and more if you set that up to do so.

When you sign up, you have one line of javascript to go into the header of your page or you can use our WordPress plugin to install the software on the page. Our plans start at $30/mo and we will help walk you through setting it up, if you wanted.
