I’m fairly new to PPC and marketing isn’t my specialty; I’ve inherited my company’s PPC campaign after 2 previous consultants/partners weren’t showing good enough results for their cost so it fell to the internal IT guy.
We primarily use Google Ads to run an ecommerce store through Shopify. It uses a mix of search, display, and shopping Ads and I set up tracking tags through Google Tag Manager and did the e-commerce Analytics setup correctly I think. The Search Ads and Shopping Ad both track conversions properly; I can track call and sale conversions just fine for both of them but the Display Ads will get thousands of clicks in a week but shows 0 conversions. Google support told me it’s impossible to track conversions on display ads and that just seems very improbable to me.
It looks like maaaybe this can be done with upgrading to ShopifyPlus but I’m not sure on that and that’s a tough budget sell this year.
Can someone please tell me if I’m missing something obvious like I hope? It’s very hard to compare and adjust/budget campaigns properly when I can’t accurately track conversions.
