    Hello,

I recently updated a meta description for my website and Google is changing it entirely to just random text content from the page.

I am aware Google can change titles to pages within the search engine to what they see fit. What I’m confused about is why they’re changing my meta description to random content that serves no purpose to the user. I updated it twice and it stayed on the same random text.

How can I change this and implement the correct meta description?

Same here. I have all my meta descriptions custom typed out for every page and product, but google just shows a random snippet. I did change, in RankMath, to show %seodescription% and hope that helps.

DuckDuckGo shows it properly, google does not. In fact all the search engines besides google shows it properly.

Google is serving the user, not what you want to tell folks about your website or service. nothing you can do about it.

You need to change your meta descriptions to better describe your content. Happened to me, rewrote them, and it was fixed.
