Final Report: PPC Salary Survey 2020
Howdy Y’All
We had 857 responses this year that made it into our report….a ~32% increase YoY from the 579 responses that made it into the report last year. About 70 additional responses that didn’t make it into this report because of duplications, not filling out a salary or not putting down a location (as the gay French boys say, for reals Duane).
Putting down worldwide as your location defeats the purpose of this report. Also countries with only one or three responses are not in this report. Come on Singapore… you are so close every year. I know you have a strong scene like Scotland. Thank you for everyone who filled this out and helped spread the word.
Some people have only been in paid 3 – 5 years BUT have been working for 10+ years in their career. This can skew salaries higher then you’d expect. Please take that into account across all regions as we use the years someone has been in paid advertising to build this report.

**Some Notes**
* 15 for USA and 10 for rest of world is the bar we use to show a country/region of the world. We started using this last year to help make reporting easier
* Our top five countries were the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Netherlands and Germany. Australia moved to 6th place this year after being 4th for the last 4 years.
* Scotland, Nordic region, Manchester, Vancouver (Canada), Amsterdam, and Berlin all got their own slide this year for the first time!
* Austin, Texas seems to be punching above their weight right now….take that to mean what you will
* Some people live in one city/country and get paid in USD/CAD/EURO… I did some currency conversion to group data. All noted in each country section
* I’ll say it again, some people have 1-3 years experience in paid but having been working for 8-10+ years, thus they can skew salaries higher.
* Some people include their bonus in their salaries as well I imagine. This can make their salary higher then someone who might not have. Hence why we try to use the median salary across all reports
* Self-hosting the survey this year, to make changes easier if y’all spot any errors. Slidershare does not let you overwrite an upload anymore. You need to make a brand new upload and URL. Have no idea why LinkedIn took away this feature. Thanks again everyone. Hard to image how far we have come in 5 years….when we started in 2016.
P.S. On Monday I should release a report comparing USA salaries from 2016 to 2020…as a starting point. This is a new for us and hopefully we will find it interesting.
