FB Not Tracking Conversions – should I switch to traffic?

Posted by seohelper on November 11, 2020 at 6:26 am

I’ve been promoting a free taster box for our sports nutrition products on FB. When we launched it at the end of September we quickly achieved a £0.80-£1.50 per conversion rate across various ad sets and ran out of stock.

I turned back on when back in stock in October and costs spiked a lot at about triple that and I’m thinking one of the issues is conversions aren’t tracking properly. FB is recording about 40% of the purchases of the ad so I’m assuming won’t be optimising or attributing the quality of the ad correctly. Would I be better off running a new campaign to traffic?

I’m assuming this is linked to new privacy measures on devices coming in.

    ALWAYS run conversions.

Everyone’s performance has been garbage the last couple months so it’s probably bundled in that.

If you think you have reporting issues just look at your google analytics account. Search by conversion and UTM source. This is assuming you have this all setup though
