FB, Instagram ROAS for Beauty Brands

Posted by seohelper on March 5, 2020 at 8:03 pm

    Hey guys!
Was wondering what sort of Avg. ROAS one should expect for running FB and Instagram ads for the US market for Beauty brands.

I sell skincare and my product cost is ~$35. I was wondering if I can expect a ROAS of 2X after 3 months of testing etc.

What’s your conversion rate from other channels? You’d need a $17CPA. Say clicks are $1-$2 dollars, you’d need 5 to 11% conversion rate on the ads. Using cold targeting, that’d be kinda hard, but possible if you have a good starting list for LALs / good organic site traffic for remarketing. 1x is more likely, which’d hopefully be net positive factoring LTV

Depends. I manage one brand and we are close to 2x. We are VERY strong on Google though but most of the brand awareness happens on Facebook so I would say that as long as your ROAS on FB is at 1.5 and your ROAS on Google is let’s say at 4-5, you should be good.

If you are not strong on Google, then obviously I would advise you to be close to 2x to start making money. I am not sure if you can expect that after 3 months though. I would probably say that a ROAS at 1.2-1.3 is doable after 3 months but can prob take longer to reach 2. But then again, really depends on your brand and how successful it can be on FB. If after 3 months, your ROAS is not even close to 1, I would probably try other channels = Amazon or Google.
