Changing Ad Variations in Dynamic Ads in Facebook

Posted by seohelper on June 19, 2020 at 10:27 pm

When it comes to changing ads, I’m always hesitant because when changing budget in a campaign I’ve noticed results can blunder (I assume due to reset in learning algorithm). I’m wondering if the same effect will take place if I change the low performing variations (headlines etc.) of my dynamic ads?

I’m assuming you’re talking about Dynamic Creative. Yes, your performance is likely to improve if you take out the lowest performing variants.

My advice is to stay away from Dynamic Creative, though.

I like to say that Dynamic Creative is a feature Facebook made for lazy people. You’re basically letting Facebook’s algorithm do your split testing – but they charge you 15% more expensive CPM for doing it.

i never recommend touching profitable adsets. changing a small variable will restart learning phase. just duplicate, and then edit what you want to edit.

FYI I don’t see 15% increase of costs using dynamic creative, in general my CPMs are lower.
