I run a few sites on related topics. There is overlap in terms of both location and subject matter.

On a few keywords I will have top 10 results for more than one site, but maybe not the #1 spot.

I don’t really want to remove any pages for any of the sites as this would be bad for UX. So, what I’m thinking is linking from the lower ranking to higher ranking site.

Do you think this will be enough to have an effect on the positions. Or should I just leave as is?

I’d cross link, but cautiously. Don’t pound exact match keywords or send hundreds of links from one site to the other.

Another strategy is to do remarketing the good site via FB/IG for users who click the crappy site.
