Calculating cpl when there’s no conversions (for a pivot table)

Posted by seohelper on October 2, 2021 at 11:39 am

    Hey guys!

Iv’e got a database in which some enteries have 0 conversions but let’s say 58 clicks.

How doi I caluclate the CPL?
I can’t put it as 0 – which means free leads (omg!)

I thought about using =IFERROR((G4/F4),” “) , which will leave cpl as blank,

Which doesn’t tell the whole story – we paid X money for 0 leads. Fail.

I need those caluclations for a pivot table, for example – showing the average cpl per day of the week.

Leaving it as blank won’t tell the whole story.

    What would you do?

    Thanks so much!

Just put cost per lead as 1 billion dollars.

Kidding aside, I don’t think there’s any real answer. Even when Google has a cost per conversion that’s undefined, it says “0,” so that when you aggregate all of the campaigns, your total cost per conversion is still accurate. Can you use “null” in place of 0?
