Backlinks May Become My Nemesis
OK-so I’ve been reading and working and have the on-page SEO stuff down to a science. Now the struggle is real with the off-site stuff. Citations are simple-got it.
Understand the premise of backlinking-more or less-but am finding it a bit of a challenge to get authoritative backlinks. Any tips or tricks you’d care to share that might point me in the right direction?

One way to get authoritative links is to build a brand and network with others in your niche. You may also outreach some bloggers in your niche.

I’ve been using Majestic which allows you to reverse engineer your competitors and see what backlinks they have.
Then you can try and see if you can get the same link as them..
Takes a bit of work, but seems to be doing the trick for me.
