I just want to start the broken link building technique, I completely understand the process but it’s time consuming if I do manually.

So, you guys have any process or framework for doing Broken Linking Building technique?

    Thanks in advance..!

You could try the chrome extension “HREF Check My Links”

Good luck. Chasing after broken links today seems to be a waste of time. (I’ve done it, for my own businesses and for clients. Better ways to get backlinks imo)

It’s stupid. They will say “thank you for informing us, we will remove the link then”.

I’d recommend using a tool like Ahrefs or SEMrush to find broken links. It’s fairly efficient. Typically, I’ll start with some authoritative websites that I want to get a backlink from and use Ahrefs to filter for broken links on that site. You can build a list an automate some of the reach outs. Yeah, it’s grunt work!

Nope, doesn’t work and is time consuming. All these articles that suggest broken link building technique have like 2-3% success rate. Don’t waste your time chasing it.

I’ve never wasted my time with this technique because it’s bigger grunt work than you need.

You’re better off reaching out to people if you have something to offer. If you’ve done an extensive study on a topic that might be helpful to people who have written blogs about said topic, reach out to them.

People have reached out to me and if it’s useful, I’ll add it into one of our articles if it improves or assists readers.

Of course you rely on the goodwill of other people to do you a favour (like everything in life) but if you’re going to invest your time and effort into link building, better to do it in a way where you’re offering more than just ‘hey put me in instead because this link is broken’.

You can scrape all your links using search modifiers or a tool, I use ahrefs. You can also scrape contact emails for the sites/pages with broken links.

Also finding broken links and offering new content based on time dependent content, like info graphics, or any subject of content that is time dependent.

I’ve had the best returns on the ladder strategy

My only experience, not really broken link. Four years ago a competitor closed down and I tried to buy their domain but was impossible.

Recently I saw their domain is porn now so I contacted all interesting backlink webmasters by email and the highest DR changed the link to my site recently. The rest didn’t do anything but I’ll insist after some time

Actually it depends niche to niche

It worked for me in the technology and gadgets niche
But it didn’t worked well for me in the beauty and business niche that well.

It’s not a worthwhile tactic. I don’t know anyone who uses it. Seriously, it’s a huge waste of time. Just focus on optimizing your existing / working link building processes further rather than adding more tactics to the mix.

Delete all broken links. Refresh with new ones
