affiliate links in google ads
Hi, we need to add some affiliate links into our google ads but I’m having issues. I currently have the landing page url in the final url and the affiliate link in the tracking template. Example set-up below:
[https://affiliatetrackinglink.com?payload={keyword}-{matchtype}&url={lpurl}](https://affiliatetrackinglink.com?payload={keyword}-{matchtype}&url={lpurl})
I’ve done a few tests and the conversions are not tracking back into the affiliate system so I think the users are just getting sent straight to the LP and not through the tracking link
This is for a casino website so the account has been whitelisted for the LP domain so I cant just display the affiliate link in the ad
If anyone can help, I’d be extremely grateful

Where did you put the event snippet to track the converts? That’s the issue with affiliate offers and tracking, most of these these offers use 3rd party billing, they wont put your tag on the confirmation of purchase page with a 3rd party billing site.

Yeah, that won’t work. Affiliate tracking links redirect the user, google doesn’t allow that.
I use Voluum. They have direct-tracking that lets you track visits without the redirect.
So you can track using the LP domain casinowebsite.com/lander in the final URL.
