Search Console is great for seeing what you’re currently ranking for, but how on earth are you supposed to see what competitors are ranking for? How can you see unbiased search volumes to know where to prioritise your efforts? You won’t be able to analyse high performing content in your field, run gap analyses, know your competitors highest performing content. You won’t be able to identify new opportunities.

Basically, Search Console has enough to get some short term quick wins, but longer-term SEO opportunities sit within an external tool such as Ahrefs.
