    Account suspended on Google Ads

Posted by seohelper on January 17, 2021 at 3:47 am

First and foremost I hope that you’re all doing great today, and I was wondering if y’all could help me out.

Today I woke up to an email telling me that my Google Ads account has been suspended due to “Unacceptable Business Practices”; this is obviously a very serious issue and I was really quite alarmed seeing as how our ad had tan without issues for a month!

It was implied in the email that this was due to phishing, which is weird because we have our SSL certification up to date, we don’t ask for user information, users can’t leave comments on our page, we’re an international corporation and we’re in the mining field. So there’s no need for us to rob people for their information. It should be noted that yesterday there was some changes made to our page, we changed 2 background images (1 in header and 1 in background), we made some grammatical improvements and added INTERNAL links for our visitors convenience.

We appealed the suspension and we’re swiftly denied a reinstatement and/or an explanation, we reverted all changes (except grammar) and appealed again with no answer so far.

My questions are, what went wrong? Do we have any hope to advertise again and can I as a freelancer work on other companies Ads through google?

Thank you all for reading this!

I imagine the reference to phishing was simply a restatement of Google’s general description of activities qualifying as “Unacceptable Business Practices” found in their policies.

Otherwise, many things could qualify as unacceptable business practices.

You say the company is in mining. What exactly is the conversion you are hoping to achieve on the landing page of the ad? What are you exactly advertising? That’s where I’d imagine the issue is.

Google is on a banning spree right now. I would say try to contact their support and explain how much of a legitimate company you are.
