Do you think social networks are losing their touch due to abundance and overwhelming data?
What is your take on interest networks that actually cares about user’s interests and gives users the access and authority of choosing what they want to watch and who they want to connect with?

I am routinely unfollowing folks I know in real life and online, who post memes and uninteresting tidbits about their life. You are right, there is so much content flooding my dashboard at all hours. I feel I am constantly trying to remove the uninteresting content to get just the content I care about. It makes social media less effective when people aren’t specific and deliberate about creating and curating their content for their audience.

Yesss! i have been hating algorithm and all the unnecessary content,it feels so ovewhelming to use any social media,unless someone comes up with a solution for these i dont think there will be any major change in the segment.
Interest-based social is also a good option but should be coupled with a way where people can control their feed not the app or company,i dont want anyone recommending me what to watch and explore.

Interest networks are the need of the decade. There seems to be a lot of unwanted stuff on social networks. Why would I need to connect with my own circle (families and friends) who might not even share my interests or passion? Also, I’d love to be in a network that feels like a community where people just genuinely express their thoughts and ideas.
